Dar,

*********200,000shs traded @.75*******************

I called Diamond Fields late yesterday and talked to the president of the company. He said that DeBeers has no stake in the property, and that this is the first time that DeBeers has contracted for services of this magnitude where they don't have a JV nor a marketing agreement set up. He said that DeBeers was only the drilling contractor for the program and that the diamonds were sold independently for US$164/carat. He also said that with DeBeers doing the work he felt that the market would accept the results. After the Bre-X fiasco of a few years ago he could not stress enough the fact that credibilty and sample integrity are of the utmost importance. He belives that his better than expected results will not be questioned with the DeBeers name on the work. He also said its a no brainer to contract for sampling as opposed to leasing a boat and sampling on your own. Again he said that integrity was a key, a junior doing a self conducted samling, the results would be questioned. This Dr. Gurney thing kinda flew over my head?? He said that he was on the board because of "Benguela" being a JV partner? and that the JV disolved in 1997, and that last year Bencos??holdings were diluted to under 10%. He said that when the decided to use DeBeers instead of Benguela Dr. Gurny resigned. He also added that Dr. Gurny resigned as chaiman of Benguela in january of this year. He said that he was still friends with Dr. G and worked with him back in his BHP diamond days. He said that the 1 for 4 split was to reverse the 4 for 1 split from the old days when the stock hit $160. He was very upbeat and was anxios to talk about the companys propects. He said he was taking part of his pay in company stock, always a good sign!!!!
