BTW, is there a lawyer amongst us here? Are we even close to being in a position for a class action? (Pardon my complete ignorance here, but these dodoheads are making lying in their press releases!).

I work for a large software company known for many slipped dates. However, any time an announcement is made of a *fixed* ship date, it is always because the bits are already on hand. The ship date is usually a month to 45 days after the bits are on hand to allow for marketing / propaganda ramp-up and media production.
