Elmo - Great Post! Let's exclude Larry W. Sonsini as he represent's Norada's interest as a major stockholder...what about the other board members? Who's interest's do they represent?

Elaine R. Bond *@
Retired Chase Fellow/Sr. Consultant
The Chase Manhattan Bank, N.A.

Hans-Werner Hector
Cofounder
SAP AG, Germany

Jack L. Messman *@
President and Chief Executive Officer
Union Pacific Resources Co.

Ian R. Wilson ^
Managing Partner
Dartford Partnership

John A. Young *@
Retired President and Chief Executive Officer
Hewlett-Packard Company

Personally. I like John Young and his past track record and understanding of the industry. The others are open to debate and perhaps it is these positions we might want to look at. SALAH noted a good observation regarding Mr. Sonsini and he is correct that Norada still is entitled to full representation ( for the shares he owns) through his associate...I agree.

However, inorder for this company to move forward and to cut it's ties to past Norada's deals, our new board must make up industry expertise (probably based in Silicon Valley) for the new Novell.

For example. what has Mr. Hans-Werner Hector contributed. There was a previous article up thread where he resigned from another board. Perhaps Jack L. Messman or Mr. Ian R. Wilson could be replaced with Larry Ellison of Oracle or Mr. Scott Mc Nealy of Sun Microsystems.

Thoughts or comments?
