ROSI's fate was not so great. . . SO FAR. We bought at 10.50. . . within a week it moved over 15.00 before falling back to 11 slowly. Then this 2 year old company that has shown a profit since day 1, warned that they would not hit the .47 cent earnings that analysts expected. NOTE: .47 X 4 quarters = 1.88 per year allowing ROSI a PE of 10, when the going rate is what 35? Anyway, Wall Street gave them a 50 percent haircut, when they said they would only make between .23 and .27 or so [from memory]. . .so what do we do??
“More than doubled position in ROSI in the mid-5 dollar range”, Message 8602500 , based on fundamentals, growth, stability and a hunch that the principals warned just one month after stating that all was well, because they would like to increase their personal positions. . .see insider trading logs. Today ROSI opened near 7. When it hits 7.50 we will be back to break even, but check it out. . .the BOOK value on the stock is 12.61and what about the PE ratio, which is used to determine valuation??
For year end of 98, the PE ratio is about 10. But remember earnings have been growing steadily. If we extrapolate the current company warned earnings of say .25, we get 1.00/per year based on this not so good quarter. If the price stays at 7.00, then a more accurate PE ratio is 7. . .hello? Most companies make NOTHING in their first three years of business. . .Next month marks the 2 year anniversary of US Floral Products, the "World's Largest Integrated Distributor of Floral Products."
And the street gives them a 50 percent haircut for missing expectations.
So we may have missed on our ROSI position. . .but it is hardly out of the picture. . . and many of the late comers have already made money on the bounce.
