CPQ Presario desktop line revamp offer further indication that
speed path problem is gone, hopefully for good!

Go to compaq.com

See the K6-2lization of Presario desktop line, which is revamped recently.

Excluding the "Configure By Yourself" lines that have both Intel and AMD chips, the score for regular desktop are overwhelmingly K6-2 based.

Cyrix --- 1 model -- 2200 Line
K6-2 --- 1 model -- 5070 Line
K6-2 --- 3 models -- 5100 Line
K6-2 --- 11 models - 5200 Line
Celeron - 1 model --- 5200 Line
Pentiumx - 5 models - 5600 Line

Total:

Cyrix 1
AMD 15
Intel 6

Interestingly, Presario desktop only offer one Celeron based model.

The last thing Intel wants to see is that majority of celerons are going into cheap business boxes, rather than the intended home pc market.

Compaq, you are bad!
