Jewish intermarriage with gentiles is approaching 50% I am in such a mixed marriage. Here in the U.S. there are new organizations which have modified the customs of both religions to produce a blend. There is considerable opposition from orthodox and fundamentalists on both sides to the group being recognized as legitimate but it works for us and our children. Not every conflict is over religion. I just think the one in Yugoslavia is, (as is the trouble in Ireland, Israel, and Indonesia). A situation like Korea shows that conflict can arise between people of the same race & religion. In that case the badge is one of location alone. TP
