John et al, I'm sure you saw this ETEC preannouncement. biz.yahoo.com The most interesting part, relative to AMAT or MU, was ETEC's comment at the end of the story that Due to those reasons as well as overall industry environment, pattern generation system demand is unlikely to improve for the rest of the fiscal year ending July 31, and the market could be challenging through the rest of the calendar year, the company said. Since ETEC owns between 70-90% of the photomask equipment business, this says something interesting about current capex by chip makers. Best, --Steve
