She did address cost controls in the Business Wire release (not that I think it'll make any difference):

Consolidation of Operations
North added: "VSI's value is in its core videoconferencing and
control system technology, but that's also been the source of most of
the expenses. We believe that drastically cutting those expenses and
the related consolidation of our video business back to our
headquarters in Norcross will have a positive impact on the generation
of revenue and profitability. Thus, we've closed - over the last
several months - our New York, Boston, Washington, D.C. and Beijing
sales offices, and are managing all U.S. accounts from Norcross -
which we've done for years with customers that aren't in close
proximity to a VSI office."
The full effect of the cost savings from personnel reductions,
office closings and other cost reduction efforts will occur in the
second quarter of 1999. Savings of approximately $750,000 per year are anticipated.
