Hi EKS - "...what about the other board members? Who's interest's do they represent?..."

I hope that they represent the interest's of all Novell shareholders. How could it be otherwise? The representation may not be perfect, but I doubt that it is fraudulent as is suggested by some. Which board member would want to be sued or possibly face criminal prosecution for fraudulent acts? It doesn't make sense.

I have no doubt that every company would like to have the best and brightest for their board of directors, and Novell should have the best they can get. However, there is a finite pool of candidates to choose from; especially when conflicts of interest are considered.

A starting point for selecting new board members is to determine the qualifications that the board member should possess, and then make a list of those that qualify. And so on ....

Do you recall if there are a total of nine members authorized for the board of directors? And didn't Mr. Young state that he would be leaving or was it just that he would be Chairman of the Board until a new CEO was found? If Mr. Young leaves, and the board is filled, then almost half of the board will be new even if the others remain.

Do you still want the board of directors replaced even if the company turns in a good earnings report and continues to make progress? Can we be sure that a completely new board will do better?
