Hi Ray - maybe the holders did luck out one way or another. I don't follow SGI, but considering the volumes [before the halt,] it has to be more than the run of the mill daytrading. So, either indeed there is more news on the horizon, or at least the big boys [and girls,] who picked the wrong stock to window dress their portfolio, will try to hype the stock by writing off the shortfall as a transition problem - and make them look like a forward thinking bunch.

I know little about the current CEO [except he was from HWP?] The problem is that SGI's ramp up has always been the problem dated back to Mr McCracken's days. While it may not be a cure in the shortrun, it should take a page from INTC [no position either] back in the early 80s to find an operational guy [back then, Dr Grove brought in Dr Barrett <the present CEO>] to straighten out the time to market problem
