USRX is reported to be down to $2.50 in after hours trading following a series of delays in the release of its highly touted but as yet unseen "x2" modem technology. Laurie Lentz, a senior US Robotics spokesperson said "We see this as an excellent buying opportunity that we have provided to the investment community. In addition, for all stockholders who bought at $62 or above we are offering a free 8 meg memory upgrade to offset the lost value of their shares. We know of no one else in the industry who is presently doing this, and as such we continue to show leadership in new and innovative ways. Also, any stock purchased within the past 6 months can easily be upgraded to CSCC shares via software downloaded from our web site. We found CSCC's shares to be the most representative of our "x2" technology, as they have followed our own stocks recent performance so well. When asked why shares had plummeted to $2.50 in after hours trading Ms. Lentz replied "I don't know ... probably investors were too embarassed to sell them at $2.50 during normal hours". When asked if this would adversely affect US Robotics quarterly earnngs she said "What earnings?".
