Well...to begin with, the new market isn't new....there are just new people in it! PBHGX has a 10 record. Take a look at it...all of it. There have been better years...there have been worse years. I've got lots of PBHGX with 30% annualized return, lots with -26% annualized return, and everything in between. These funds have been volitile and that is the way they are gonna be. When they are hot they're hot and when they're not they're not; fact is that year in year out, Pilgrim and company have consistently maintained a remarkable record of rolling 5 year rates of return. In 94, when they didn't look so hot either, they have since proved to have been a very good bet indeed.

Want a smoother ride? Try Heartland Funds or Barron Asset. Both are very consistent and very good pickers. Want to play switchy switchy?
Try Fidelity Sector funds where at least there is the potential for taking practical advantage of differential economic analysis. Want to trade? There is nothing better than individual stocks.

Perspective helps. Patience is best measured in years, not days.

Best Regards.....Tom Simpson
