Agree entirely with your post re growth of amtd and other online traders. from what i gather at the office everyone fancies himself a stock picker these days. i used to trade with a "full service broker" and spent 40 per trade this is the way to go. i saw the chairman of merrill lynch a month ago explaining how merrill's venture into online trading made sense for them. it was a thinly veiled confession that if they didn't join in and cut their commission by 2/3 they were going to lose tremendous market share. the web is going to change a lot of industries-- one of the first to be revolutionized is stock trading
