0100 GMT 990401 - A three man U.S. team patrolling the Macedonian border with Yugoslavia north of the Macedonian city of Kumanovo, has been reported missing. The last time that the patrol was heard from was approximately 1800 GMT when the patrol radioed in that they were taking "small arms fire and were surrounded." The White House and the Pentagon have confirmed this report and have added that a search and rescue operation is now underway. It is not clear whether or not they have been captured by Yugoslav forces. stratfor.com
