Boon I disagree on most of your reasons. First of all USR is still, AND has been selling modems all quarter long. Even Rockwell said in their conf. call 33.6K modem demand is still very strong. So modem sales are very strong across the board...and USR is out selling the competition 5 to 1. Now let's go to the other end of the connection...again business is very brisk to say the least. Then sales of the Pilot are outstanding and you can see my point. Native x2 modems have not hit the street yet, BUT x2 modems have been selling strong since x2 was announced in October...and before. There will be many of us who will be paying $60 for the x2 software upgrade...THINK about how fast you can ship downloads on the Internet, ZAP sixty bucks, ZAP sixty bucks, ZAP sixty bucks, ZAP sixty bucks....hum some fast money I'd say. Ohhhhh I forgot to mention the software going to the ISPs, I'd guess we add some zeros to the sixty bucks. I also wonder how many Dell PCs have shipped with x2 upgradable modems. Maybe I'm ranting now, but you can see my point. I don't think USR missing the quarter is a problem, getting x2 switched on is.
