Wanted to give everyone our impressions of Amazons new auction site. We own neither EBAY or AMZN - my wife is a long time ebay seller (2+ years now! user name=magrum@bright.net). Should have loaded up the truck with EBAY back at the launch.

Anyways, we've been checking the AMZN site and it is quite impressive - loads extremely well and will be listing some items there this weekend. Will watch to see if it has any slow ups like ebay is typically having. This site impressed us more than YHOO's site did and the charges are the exact charges from ebay.

We like ebay because of "habit", ebay is heard everywhere now - but AMZN may be a bit different than YHOO, set up nicely and it was surprising to actually see a number of bids on a bunch of items! We'll try it out to see how it goes. Also when we logged on, AMZN welcomes you by name and the registration process was a breeze, also you only have to log in once.

Good luck to the ebay holders, we would like to get into ebay but insider selling, etc. is keeping us on the sidelines for now. Own AOL though and the alliance should be good for ebay.

Take Care,
Glenn
