There were rumours pro and con floating around most of the day. Whether there is any accuracy in them I would be very surprised. Historically, only SUF ever knows the real news and unless they break completely from tradition, the public and the partners will all find out together when SUF is good and ready to tell us.
If you believe the con, you may take comfort in SUF's share drop today, but then, they have been doing that all spring. If you believe the pro, you may take heart in the two bumps previously referenced.
From the paranoid perspective, suppose an unscrupulous nasty type person with actual knowledge of the facts, were to put a con rumour out on SUF having already shorted her for a few days. Then low and behold, a glowing NR comes out after said nasty type person has bought back in at the bottom and then some more, at close of trade the night before a NR. That scenario fits the SUF action today too. Food for thought.
What I personally take heart in is the fact that so many are obviously watching and ready to play. That confirms to me what I have been suggesting for some time, the market wants Canadian pipe news and is ready to play if it here's those words. Having said that, WSP have preconditioned the market to like the D word too, if some serious grade, width, strike and glitter is associated with it.
Frankly, I suspect that if SUF put out a NR that says that they hit kimberlite that is identical in texture, appearance (even chemistry if its been tested already) to the Yuri, that will be good enough for the market to get excited. The Yuri was exceptional ore and its mother is a rich b.tch. Lets just hope she's big around the middle too.
