U.S. Robotics Continues To Fall In Late N.Y. Trading >USRX

NEW YORK (Dow Jones)--U.S. Robotics Corp. (USRX) shares continued to slide in after-hours trading, falling to 55 1/2 after closing at 56 3/8, down 3 7/8 or 6.4%.

PT Discount Brokerage trader Dan Hont said U.S. Robotics continued to fall after the company said it is still testing a new, ultrafast modem which analysts had expected to be in stores Sunday.

Shares of other technology stocks were down slightly, traders noted. Intel Corp. (INTC) was trading at 145 1/2, down from its close of 146 3/8. Also, Cisco Systems Inc. (CSCO) was trading at 58, down from its close of 58 3/8.
