Fred: Thanks for digging up the patent. When I spoke to the CFO to get the patent number he made a point of mentioning the references to past research and patents by others, including Jarvik. What they have tried to do is learn from all the past work that has gone on over the last 25 years in VADs and TAHs (totally artificial hearts). From what I can see, they are definitely serious about winning in this game. Dan
