Steve: My take RE: Hirsch

His greatest weakness all along has been that he does not do the Wall Street dance the way other CEO's can (e.g. Rouhana or Mandl). The conference call where ARTT introduced him to the investment community remains the most unimpressive debut for a CEO that I have ever heard.

I learned to live with the weakness a long time ago, because there is an upside. First, Hirsch is as honest as they come. He's a straight shooter, says what he believes. Although in the short run this may result in some unpleasant blips (as we have seen), in the long run it is unquestionably a plus for the stock, as long as your time horizon is longer than a week. In the past month or so, a lot of investors with a 1 week (or less) time horizon have been purchasing ARTT; it is not surprising that some of them could be disappointed. Second, Hirsch combines that honesty will a skill set that few other CEO's can match, particularly other CEO's in ARTT's market cap range. ARTT is highly fortunate to have Hirsch.
