-The earth rotates west to east (which makes the sun appear to move east to west)

-The new day begins at the International Date Line located in the western pacific at 180 degrees longitude

-This means that Japan is ending their work day well before ours has begun.

In an era of global trade and communication it's important to be up to speed on this stuff, imho. :-)

Great news on the Japanese market penetration though. If the Street is true to form on this, they should punish IOM for this by at least a 1/2 point drop on Monday!!
