I have been reading all the postings on this board about Digital-Me, and although the digital-Me has a TON of potential, I think that you all might be giving Digital-Me a lot to live up to.

Novell's Digitial-Me primary objective is to rationalize an Internet user down to one manageable Digital Personna. In other words, Digital Me will manage all of a user's various user IDs that he/she has built up over the months/years of surfing the Internet. Extensions to this concept/technology will allow the user account in Digital Me to provide authorized access by others to your contact information and possibly Digital Me will allow a user to print to Internet/NDS defined printers.

I first want to see Novell put a product AND service portal on the Internet before I start dreaming about what wild and wonderful things Digital Me will provide.

I am worried that Novell - because of their over-commitment to BUSINESS FOCUS - will not actual dive into the Service Portal arena. I am afraid that Novell might simply develop the underlying technology and simply sell a solution that others will use to create a Service Portal (and make tons of cash on). I personally would like to see Novell involved in some way in the rollout and operation of an Internet accessible portal of Digital Me. But I am afraid that they are afraid to go that far with this solution.

Maybe I am wrong on this thought. But I think we all must figure out how Digital Me will crawl before we could dream about how it will run.
