Thank you much, Champolion. Sorry, if your intentions were honorable and you were chewed out by misunderstanding. I have not yet trademarked that expression. . .I usually only trademark things that make my mark in the trade. . . but I was more concerned with the WAY it was stated and what newbies might read into it, than the use of the term.

I'll share a story. .

This stuff happens in my universe continuously. . .T-shirt designs, unique song concepts, logos, business plan. . .sometimes I wonder if anyone ever thinks for themselves anymore. In 1976 I established my first company. . .to create a totally unique identity, I began putting letters together on a piece of paper until I had come up with a totally new word. . . no meaning. . never used anywhere. Looked it up in Libraries. . .NOTHING.

I began using the unique name. I still do for that biz. But if you go back to my home town. . you will see a totally unrelated art store named. . .you guessed. . .then how about a record label in the next town? Didn't even bother to change the industry. Unbelievable. Crazy thing is, it was out of respect that they named their company after my unique identity. . and went on to hire me to produce one of their bands. . .so the name appears on the credits representing two unrelated entities.

1984 in Florida on Viewtron [the predecessor to America Online]. . .I made up a cute word for a unique identity. . ."PHUNN" . . . now it has a dot com domain from a company from where? You guessed it.

Had this tremendous idea for a t-shirt logo. Told ONE close relative in my tiny home town of 12,000 people. One year later, I went to secure the trademark for the word's use on T-shirts. But the trademark had just been issued to two guys from where?? My tiny home town.

I could go on all day with such stories. In the early 1990's, I just missed getting the trademark on the year "2000" on apparel and promotional products. Another guy beat me to it by months. . .he has now made an 8 digit figure on merely the licensing fees to all those companies out there putting 2000 on products.

Yeah, I might have been a bit touchy. And for that I too apologize.
