Public Support for U.S. Involvement in Yugoslavia Lower Than for Gulf War, Other Foreign Engagements

If our government intends to pursue this war, I predict we'll see a sudden and bloody attack that will kill a number of Americans and galvanize public opinion, such as we had with the Maine, the Lusitania, Pearl Harbor, Tonkin Gulf, Beirut, etc. The government has proven in these and other cases that they are willing to allow something like this to happen or even to cause it to happen (or as was apparently the case with the Tonkin Gulf, lie about it happening) if it will increase public support for the war they want to fight.
