On Tuesday, March 23, 1999 the US Senate introduced Bill S.692. Designed to prohibit gambling on the Internet, it will allow the government to:
a) MONITOR your activity on the Internet at any time (for no reason).
b) have your ISP CANCEL YOUR ACCOUNT, disconnecting you from the Internet. This is done WITHOUT any notice to you.
Verify this for yourself. Read the Bill before the Senate:

At the US Senate hearing, many people and organizations tried to stop the bill, asking to testify before the Senate Committee. Senator Jon Kyl (R-AZ), the committee chair, kept them out of this closed hearing.
