Talking about those sales pitch you get from AOL tech support... Companies are all trying to turn a cost center into a revenue center by pushing these other stuffs when you call them. Just the other day I called Delta to confirm my tickets, was sent to Avis after done with them, Avis then tried to send me to MGM Studio ticket sales...

And, nobody can make money out of those 'serious internet users'. They know where to find the lowest price, they put together PCs by themselves, they want features over features over features, and they would whip up VB to write their own browser just so they can block out banner Ads. Frustration with AOL as a 'serious internet user' is easily understandable, but if you are an AOL stock holder you should be happy they never plan to make friends with those serious users... not that they are not entitled to their demands, they are just not the easiest customer to serve.
