Bank of America Completes Financing for Qwest Communications International Inc.

DALLAS, April 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Bank of America (NYSE: BAC - news) today announced completion of a $1 billion senior credit facility for Qwest Communications International Inc. (Nasdaq: QWST - news), a Denver-based provider of a full range of multimedia communications and Internet services, as well as traditional telecommunications services, to communications entities, businesses, and consumers.

The Media and Communications Syndicated Finance Group of NationsBanc Montgomery Securities (a unit of Bank of America Corp.) served as Lead Arranger on the loan, proceeds of which will be used to complete the construction of a national fiber optic network as well as to finance working capital and for other general corporate purposes including future acquisitions. The financing is the first broadly syndicated bank loan for Qwest of this magnitude. The senior credit facilities include one $500 million revolving credit and two $250 million revolving credits. . . .
