OrionX - I was trying to puzzle out this one too. It seems pretty clear it's a distribution call. The honest thing to say would be, "Several of my large clients have lots of YHOO shares they'd like to unload around here, so please don't go away while we do that." She'd lose her job on the spot if she were honest. The temptation to lie - the potential rewards - are enormous and being honest gets you nuffin. Besides, even individual on-line investors don't want to hear bad news from anyone - just look at how ZD crashed on a single downgrade. It's amazing not a single analyst has downgraded the net stocks - ZD is the only example I know of.

Basic interest rates are headed up, however, and the Fed may not be able to keep them down. They keep pouring money into the system but interest rates stay above the level the Fed is attempting to maintain.
