Hi Dennis, Thanks. Hey, lotsa big blocks on the buy side so far today. But we're still 'down in the noise' with these volumes, so watching the tape is kinda like watching corn grow, eh?

So, on another topic, I'm thinking the timing is right for us to hear an announcement of a product containing a Valence battery, at or before COMDEX (begins April 19 in Chicago). Most likely a laptop, and given the ongoing design-in programs Valence has had with various OEMs since early last fall, this could potentially be a pretty slick design.

So let the engineer in me speculate: using 4 cells of thickness from 4.45 to 6 mm, with cross-dimensions of 4x4" or 4x5" each, laid side-by-side in a flat format (as shown in the demo at the SM)... with the larger sizing providing up to 5 Amp-hours per cell (versus the 3 Ah of the 4"x4"x4.45mm cell), this would yield 72 watt-hours (4x5Ahx3.8v) of capacity for the entire setup, and based on the specs of the materials used to manufacture the product shown to us at the SM; this product would exceed the specs of the best li-ions on the market, and allow a very thin profile. I won't speculate as to whether they may use newer materials yet, the above is good enough for starters.

This is a reasonable timeline, given the production capability stated at the SM on Feb. 4, noting the acquisition of a large quantity of raw materials around January, accounting for the one-month quarantine, and the time for the repackager to handle the product, and pass it on to the OEM for final assembly.

If such an announcement occurs, 'add' may win the pool, having projected Apr. 15 as the PO date. ;-)
