As a network analyst/technician and Novell CNE, I think NOVL is worth taking another look at. It has taken its hits from Microsoft Windows NT 4.0, missing the Internet/Intranet boat, etc. But these facts remain: 1)Novell's network OS is a solid product, a remarkably effienct means of delivering file and print services to thousands of users. 2)Novell represents about 60% of the installed base for networks, and is the only REAL enterprise solution outside of UNIX. 3)The company has over $1 billion in cash reserves. If the company sticks with its revamped marketing plan and continues to implement Internet/Intranet technologies (ie. IntraNetWare, Web Server, etc.), the company and the stock will recover quite nicely, I think. Novell isn't going anywhere but up.
