Distribution of ITM's ''Baby Genius'' CD Collection Rapidly Increasing
SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 29, 1999--The International Trading & Manufacturing Corp. (OTC BB:ITMH - news) Monday announced that distribution of its ''Baby Genius(TM)'' CD Collection has tripled since its introduction in February.
The ''Baby Genius'' CD Collection features selected classical, instrumental and relaxation music designed for expectant mothers, infants, and children. Several government and university studies have shown that classical music may enhance a child's speech development, improve math and science skills, and create a sense of joy and well being.
''Attaining such a level of distribution in less than three months and with minimal promotion is indicative of the growing interest in early childhood development and our unique product,'' stated Gerald Edick, ITM's president and chief executive officer. ''As our marketing plans take hold and new 'Baby Genius(TM)' products reach the market, we're confident that our sales expectations will continue to be met. In addition, we have reached agreements with several additional retailers, direct-mail and Internet-based marketers, which have the potential of substantially increasing our total distribution.''
The company also announced that it is currently developing its ''BabyGenius.com'' Web site (www.babygenius.com) which will provide a source of information and services related to early childhood development.
The ''Baby Genius(TM)'' CD Collection is one of ITM's diverse line of products marketed to consumers through retail, direct mail, infomercials, the Internet, and the shop at home industry such as Home Shopping Network and Canadian Home Shopping Network.
