Money Chain for internet Telephony??

I am very intrigued by the Robert Crningely article speculating on AT&T's possible interest in Novell for business internet telephony.

Let's expand a little bit-- Novell puts internet telephony support into its Netware products. Your corporate phone calls are routed through your corporate computers via Netware and out into the world through some company like AT&T or MCI or IDT or whomever. Ok, when and how much does Novell get paid?

Do they just get to sell more Netware copies?
Do they get to sell telephony support software separately?
Do they get a kickback of a penny per minute for every phone call from (AT&T, MCI, ...)?

How would Novell actually make *real* money from business telephony software?
