EMS enhances lawsuit against NEC

ELECTRONIC BUYERS NEWS via NewsEdge Corporation : Enhanced Memory Systems Inc., Colorado Springs, Colo., has broadened its lawsuit against NEC Corp., alleging the Japanese company is infringing patents relating to an advanced DRAM architecture. EMS, a subsidiary of Ramtron International Corp., is charging that a new DRAM core developed by NEC, known as Virtual Channel Memory, violates several of EMS' EDRAM patents.
