Re: Performance spec of CPQ/CYRIX.

The Packard Bell 120 MHz system for $999 with monitor will outperform the CPQ/CYRIX $999 w.o monitor. This was an architecture which was concieved 3 years ago and is out of date. It may not even compete with AMD's 486/120 or 486/133, and these
systems are available for $700 with monitor.
In another 3 months there will be another price cut by Intel on 166 MHz and other processors, which will accentuate the price/performance difference even more, since cyrix has not much
room to cut prices.

IMHO This is a one of a kind product, falsely hyped by the media.
