TTOSBT: wasn't that what Borland.com was started for?
What do you guys think of the following sequence of events:
1) Through 98 into 99, the attempt to run Inprise/Borland as one big lump seemed not to do justice to either effort.
2) Feb 99 embark on efforts to treat the two markets separately... seemed well received, even if "wait and see if they follow through". But point to note: this effort likely came about due to intense advocacy of those within the organization who "get it" a little better.
3) CEO and CFO depart at exact quarter end, leaving the heads of the two divisions in charge (at least temporarily) -- and I'd assume they amongst the advocates who "get it".

Maybe a little messier than it needed to be, but all in all not too horrible? Something I'd love to know is the level of consensus or antipathy amongst Floisand, Weil, Leite and the board.
