I have no doubt that MSFT will compete in the real time embedded market. I just wonder when WIND will start to compete. It seems to me like they have an attitude problem. If you read the trade journals, you see ads from competitors such as INTS LYNX and QNX, and articles written by representatives from these companies. WIND seems to be missing. Its almost like they feel that they built a better mousetrap, and the world should beat a path to their door. They claim 25,000 design wins on their web site. How many of them have resulted in a press release? Even when you do see a release, as often as not, it is put out by the other party. How many actual end products have you seen them put a news release out about (For example, they put out a release about the digita collaboration agreement. Have you seen any releases about actual cameras? I haven't). The same could be said for cable modems. Aren't some GM cars starting to use WIND software in their powertrains. Would it be unreasonable to put out a press release naming the specific vehicle?
In the long run, the operational results of the company will determine the stock price. The problem I have is that if they don't get their act together to support their stock price, they will have trouble retaining the best and brightest engineers necessary to keep moving forward. The perception in the marketplace is that CE is kicking their but, and WIND has done nothing to dispel that perception.

I'm tired of playing how low can you go. Every time I buy more WIND, the price drops again. (I know a sure way to make the price immediately shoot up, but I'm not selling).
