I think ucr is a good candidate for bootom fishing as the current price is almost at the lowest point in the last three years. Last year the stock traded as high as $ 4.00 because of the Voisey Bay drilling.
ucr is looking better than it was ever before. since last year, it has diversified into Indonesia- an advance exploration play; it has teamed up with caatle rock( ctp.v) in the timminns , ontarion gold play and it has just acquired 50% of the island gold project. castle rock and ucr is going back to okay bay, labrador to follow up with their exploration where they left off last year. according to jim clark of ucr, a university professor in newfoundland had confirmed that the okay property had the same kind of geological nickle signature as the
dfr discovery. this is the reason why castle rock/ ucr had announced earlier that the 1997 drilling will concentrate in the okay bay property. if they get lucky this year and hit the motherload,both stocks would sky rocket. the island gold property is a conservative gold play by ucr as it picked it up for a song. according to jc, the island gold project will be pouring gold this time next year. patrician gold is busy drilling more holes this current year to proven up the gold reserve before going into production next year. if you look at gmd resources( $ 4.00), ucr is trying to repeat the success of
gmd.
the downside risk is very minimal at to-days price but the upside is unlimited if one of ucr's project catches on fire. the stock is good for patient investors who can wait for 6 months to a year.
