It is hard to rationalize a put position when the market is turning totally
irrational. Take MU memory prices are sliding, there is no visibility for
growth in PC, PIII is a flap and there is major over capacity. What that
means for MU stock - of course a resumption of the up trend.
Now look at AMAT - orders are below historical levels, rumor of NVLS
buying LRCX (which in my opinion should not be a rumor but a fact,
SFAM should be brought in to the fold also) which would present a
major obstacle for AMAT dominance of the semi. equipment business.
How AMAT stock responds? It rallies like no tomorrow.
The only way for bears to make money it to follow FED example and
Xerox the currency.
Never mind the fact that we are running out of the cruise missiles.
