Joan, >It's the old get even game.< Exactly. It's just a new challenge. I've made many mistakes investing, and continue to make them, but fortunately I have been able to avoid serious heartache. ie, core positions in stable, fair-to-undervalued companies. Then I've been able to recover any losses and then some, and in less time than I would have believed at the time of the loss. I've taken a few hits lately, but I have no doubt that I will get even, and then some! -G-
