I would like to know why CyberBroker interprets the five minute SOES rule so you can not use SelectNet Or ECN,s on same side of market after you SOES for tier limit. MB Trading and Trend Traders (Real Tick III); Broadway (The Watcher); Online Investing (Any platform you chose) only restrict you from additional SOES on same side of market. You are free to buy or sell on SelectNet or ECN,s without any five minute wait. I watched traders in their offices and saw that this was true.
Page 23 'The Electronic Day Trader' " A five minute time restriction is placed on all orders executed by the customer on each side of the market in the same security. For example, a day trader who buys 1,000 shares of Intel using SOES must wait 5 minutes before he is allowed via the SOES system to purchase Intel again. This time restriction does NOT prohibit the trader from buying additional stock through NASDAQ,s SelectNet or from an ECN."
