This seems to be the party line of all sell-side analysts or market cap apologists. The usual analogy is "top of the 2nd inning in the first game of the world series" or "2nd minute in the superbowl" or some other fraction of a total game time.

Basically, any analogy that tells them "The music is going to keep playing for a LONG LONG time, so don't worry if you don't have a chair. I promise you, the music couldn't possibly stop now!"

Of course, when the stock you are trying to hype is trading at 500 or even 2000 P/E (assuming you can even calculate it) I guess you have to resort to such tactics in order to soothe the common senses of the suckers, er, investors who will be buying your latest underwriting offering.
