You lost me there. What guy? does he have Linux experience? If you asked me to do it I would guarantee you it would take 3hours. It shouldn't but I have seen it take a lot longer. Just reinstalling my system took me 3 hours one time. That was because I misguessed what card I had. One new card took me 3 days. EC<:-}
