The fact that other companies are entering the embedded systems
market is a testament to the future potential of it. Wind commands
about 20-25% of the market at the present time. It would take MSFT,
Sun, or whomever several years to penetrate and compete in it, their
programs are years behind Wind's development. To say that the drop in Wind's share price is due to the percieved entrance of other players into the field is frankly absurd unless you believe that
Wind's customers will bolt in favor of untested and buggy programs.
MSFT's preceived entrance is a smokescreen that will have absolutely
no effect on Wind's market share for years to come.
