Scott,

Regards to your Mom, whata mom! Ask her if she remembers burgers at 5 for one dollar. I do, and I frequently ate a dollars worth at a little A&W drive in in my home town. This was privately owned and I think they used good meat and dropped the buns in the grease from the burgers. They were unique, tasted good, but I am certain that I still have some mud in my blood from eating those dollars worths. Washed them down with half a gallon of A&W. My girlfriend could only eat one. Poor thing, probably did not have full intestines. How could you with a 21" waist? What fond memories of burgers I have!

I made $1.33 per hour as a bag boy at the local A&P grocery after school and drove a 1958 chevy with a huge motor. Gas was $.25 per gallon and I got 12 miles per gallon if I was nursing it. Six if I was not. What fond memories!

Nostalgic, Jack!
