Some analysis. The market is assigning a market cap of $3.2813 x 47.9M shares outstanding today which equals $157.2M. According to my calculations Inprise's cash + property is worth around $84M + $60M = $144M. It appears as though Inprise is trading $13M above book. Is that what the technology is worth? Is that what a revenue stream of $190M a year is worth? I gotta think some vultures are gonna come in and pick this company apart at these prices. Perhaps a divisional sale, or might somebody be interested in the whole enchilada? Thoughts? Also...don't most Boards have the CEO position filled before they can somebody? Maybe the Board is thinking fire sale and skipping the recruitement process.
