Mani - I'm still pondering an AMD investment. In the short term, it would be if I thought they were serious a takeover target. IF AMD (isn't that their new name, "IF_AMD" :-))ever performs in the manufacturing arena, I might reconsider, but I am not holding my breath. For the market AMD is in, they would need to build at least one to two more fabs to effectively compete, and that's assuming they could get decent yields out of them. I'm sorry, but at this point Intel is in a class by itself with regard to manufacturing capability and adeptness.
