Maybe it's just me, but I'm often perplexed by the incongruence of the marketing neologists from company to company. Frank, maybe you can comment on whether you think the author did a good job of defining the range of things these terms refer to.

I guess it just says either:
--The OSI model isn't granular enough, or
--People will go to great lengths to force something to fit within the boundaries of a standard framework
