The P3 trial wasn't exactly a closely guarded secret; I don't know why anyone would have shaken up by it. However, 2/24 IBD states "Agouron Pharmaceuticals Inc. plummeted 8 1/4 to 86 1/2. Agouron stock's down 11 since rival Vertex Pharmaceuticals Inc. said Wednesday that it's begun final trials on its protease inhibitor to treat AIDS."
