It's been driving me crazy watching QCOM soar this week--can't figure out an entry point if any- .

Jill, I should have bought at 94 when the suit was settled. LIke an Idiot, I waited a couple of days and bought at 120.

Then, like an Idiot, I only took a 8.5% portfolio position. I should have taken a 20% portfolio position. I will do so Monday, and I will have to pay about 140.

Folks, this stock is going though the roof! I expect 250 this summer, and 500 by the end of 2000. You are staring at the best baby "Gorilla" you will ever see, with every condition for its rise right in front of you. I have followed this company since its inception, bought the IPO and made 250%, and got out when it was obvious that the lawsuits were going to tie them up for a few years, plus startup was going to keep earnings uneven. The questions now are as follows.

1. Can this company handle the growth?

They have as smart a bunch aboard as any company in the world, and the tornado effect should carry them through any mistakes. My son in law has done very well there, and I have friends there who go back to its inception. These people are sharp!

2. What is the downside?

They are dealing primarily in the overseas market, and Asia has hurt them in the past. Korea's demise really put a crimp in them a few years ago. They are in China because of the Chinese Army's desire to make a buck, if you can believe it. It is a real can of worms over there, when you are trying to get paid by these "Peoples States".

BUT:

It's Phones for the ears of China! to update the old Standard Oil marketing phase. No one is going to copper wire overseas, the whole phone market is cell. And, QCOM OWNS IT! The days of "Nationlizing" companies should be over. The thugs that run these Asian countries know that if they do it, the world will quit doing business with them, plus, the business then goes down the toilet. They can imprison and torture their own people all they want, and the world will yawn, but they damn well better pay their bills!

3. Ok, Ok, LindyBill, but what will the stock do?

Hey, long term it will go up and down, just like the others! BUT, earnings win out every time, and God, this company is going to have earnings! Long term, we have a MSFT!

Shorterm, the more the institutions look at the outline above, and they are all evaluating the same info we have, the more they will buy. Plus, with this bull market, the momentum boys will pile on and this stock should skyrocket!
