Mike, Your position is not that weird. I am heavily into bearish long puts and my long stocks right now are mostly micro bios. My figuring is that if the science produces some unique winning products, that is about as defensive an area as you can find. And if the science flops, it doesn't matter that you are in a bull market. <g> I suggest you also look at the two closed end small cap med tech funds, HQH and HQL, as they sell at discounts and allow you to buy some of these names at 75 cents on the dollar.
